Color
Umber, gold and paper anchor the identity. The following values come directly from the active design tokens. Secondary text uses a solid color. The light theme uses a darker accent for functional text; the dark theme’s gold is not recommended as text on light paper.

Native links, visible focus, keyboard navigation and reduced-motion preferences support the reading experience. Topics and article outlines work without JavaScript; the complete Archive remains readable. Client-side filters add shareable views without replacing the static publication.
Editorial principles
- Preserve the original language and connect translations of the same work.
- Distinguish publication date from the most recent recorded revision.
- Separate quotation, synthesis, and authorial commentary; never fill bibliographic gaps with assumptions.
- Link a reading to an essay only when that relationship is documented.
- Treat reading time as an estimate, calculated at 220 words per minute.
Selected writing provides an editorial entry point. The home’s Living archive lists up to five recent works beyond that selection, across collections, with translations grouped. Topics appear once. The complete Archive preserves all published works, with searchable and shareable filters. The reading outline and EndMatter offer orientation and continuity; inferred topical affinity remains distinct from documented sources.
Rights and materials
Code, authored texts, translations, images, fonts and third-party materials do not share a single blanket license. Credits and source notes identify materials where documented; their presence does not grant permission to reuse them. Font license files accompany the relevant assets. Unconfirmed image provenance remains an editorial debt.
